Bylaw of the Association of Burial Culture Article 1. Name This Association is called the Association of Burial Culture. Article 2. Head Office The head office of this Association is located at the following address: 13 Dousenbou-Sunokobashi, Minamiyamashiro-mura, Souraku-gun, Kyoto (619-1401). Article 3. Purpose 1.The association endeavors to raise awareness nationwide on the significance of burial and broaden our understanding of the culture of burial among the Japanese people and their communities. 2.This Association assists and supports establishing burial cemeteries not limited to any ethnicity or religion, especially in areas where burial cemeteries do not exist, including the Tohoku, Hokuriku, Chukyo, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Okinawa regions. Article 4. Projects To accomplish the purposes set forth in Article 3, the Association pursues the following projects: 1.Create an Internet website that is an Association’s homepage. 2.Provide opportunities for the Association members to meet and interact, thereby promoting mutual understanding among its members. Article 5. Membership Membership in this Association is open to those who agree with the Association’s purpose set forth in Article 3. Article 6. Membership Fee Members shall pay 2,000 yen as an annual membership fee. Article 7. Executive Officers 1.The Association’s Executive Officers consist of the following: President: 1 person Vice President: a few people Treasurer: 2 people Financial Audit: 2 people 2.The Executive Officers are to be elected (appointed?) from the members of the Association at the general assembly. Article 8. Duties and Responsibilities of the Executive Officers 1.The President represents the Association and supervises the Association’s functions, projects and overall operations. 2.The Vice President(s) support(s) and assist(s) the President. If the President faces an accident, the Vice President(s) will carry out the functions of the President. 3.Treasures are responsible for managing the finances and keeping accounting records of the Association’s financial activities, expenses and incomes. 4.Financial audit officers examine and audit the assets of the Association as well as the financial records and transactions of the Association. Article 9. Executive Officers’ Terms The Executive Officers serve their positions for a term of 2 years. A retiring officer is eligible for immediate re-election (re-appointment?). Article 10. General Assembly A general assembly is held at least once a year and will deliberate on the following agenda: 1.Project plan, budget, and project report. 2.Approval of annual project and financial reports. 3.Election (appointment?) of executive officers. 4.Any amendments to the bylaw. 5.Any additional matters. The general assembly comes into effect with the attendance of more than half of the Association members. The assembly’s agenda is decided upon by a majority agreement from the association members. Article 11. Expense The expenses required for the operation of this Association are paid from the membership fees and other incomes. Article 12. Fiscal Year The fiscal year starts on April 1st and ends on March 31st the following year. Supplementary Clause 1.This bylaw will come into effect on 15/4, 2025. 2.
